Urology Management Services offers exceptional service in the following areas:
UMS will budget and manage all revenues and expenses associated with each client, and manage all accounts according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, assuring compliance to relevant tax and audit functions.
UMS assigns an Executive Director to each client to assist and provide direction to the Board of Directors. The director manages board meetings, facilitates interim work and communication among Executive Committees, works with the leadership and provides advice on responsibilities and procedures based on the client’s bylaws and policies. The director also supports the officers, board of directors and committees to implement specific programs and carry out routine functions within the client’s policy guidelines.
Industry Support/ Business Development
UMS works in collaboration with leadership in forging and maintaining relationships with industry and provides assessment and reporting of industry trends and regulations. UMS creates a customized development/fundraising program for each client. UMS secures support from industry for programs, activities and projects while delivering results to corporate supporters. Opportunities include exhibits, advertising, symposia, and other forms of industry support and sponsorship.
Education Grant Support
UMS collaborates with industry clients to seek educational CME grant support through scientific topics & needs assessments for each meeting/program.
UMS strengthens client communications through mailings, e-news updates, websites, ListServs and member surveys. UMS promotes programs and services by providing creative, cost-effective marketing and communications solutions.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)
UMS utilizes a close working relationship with the American Urological Association Education & Research, Inc. (AUAER), to:
- Coordinate and provide CME for client meetings (receiving from AUAER the appropriate AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™
- Work closely with client leadership to ensure timely submission of required needs assessments, learning objectives, and other planning forms
- Ensure the client is compliant in all pre-meeting, on-site presentation and post-meeting CME requirements
- Provide assessment and reporting of industry trends and regulations
In July 2014, the AUAER earned CME Accreditation with Commendation. This highest level of approval is awarded to CME providers that demonstrate compliance in all criteria and the accreditation policies. “The ACCME commends the AUA for meeting the ACCME’s accreditation requirements and for demonstrating that the AUA is a learning organization and a change agent for the physicians you serve.”
UMS manages all aspects of a client’s membership needs. UMS responds to inquiries regarding membership and status, processes applications, conducts annual dues billings and maintains membership rosters. UMS will recommend membership recruitment and retention programs and implement as directed by client leadership.
